Kennisdossier NWGD

Drogen is een door veel bedrijven toegepaste processtap. Nieuwe ontwikkelingen en innovaties optimaliseren de bestaande droogprocessen en droogtechnieken. Optimale droogtechnieken zijn die technieken die leiden tot verbeterde productkwaliteit, hogere productsnelheid en lagere (energie)kosten. Deze technieken betreffen zowel hardware- als softwarematige zaken.

Organisaties op het gebied van drogen
Beschikbare kennis over optimale droogtechnieken is veelal verspreid aanwezig bij kennisinstituten, universiteiten en een aantal leveranciers. Voor een goede marktimplementatie van optimale droogtechnieken is een kennisuitwisseling tussen deze verschillende partijen wenselijk. • AEA Technology; AEA Technology heeft een uitgebreide website over hun (commerciele) activiteiten op o.a. industrieel drogen. Interessant is hun Solids Drying Process Manual waarvan de inleiding en inhoudsopgave via het Web beschikbaar zijn.
• Drying Technology, Inc.; Levert veel informatie (vooral downloadable literatuur) over 'dryer control technology'.
• National Drying Company; Veel informatie van leverancier over drogers en droogtechnieken. Commercieel, maar interessant.
• Drying Vegetables. Een pagina van de Colorado State University met een goede introductie over het drogen van groenten.
• How Food Preparation Works; Introductie voor de leek met onder andere een leuk vriesdroog-experiment om zelf thuis te doen.
• Drying Your Own; Levert een interessante lijst met links over het drogen van hout.
• ETDEWEB; De wereldwijde Energie database. Ook hier levert zoeken op 'drying' interessante publicaties. U dient zich wel eerst te registreren.
