Energy
The NSW Monitoring and Evaluation Programme item 1.8 deals with the predictability of energy production. This includes aspects such as: wind conditions and variations, wind turbine P-V curves and turbine wake development.
Learning objectives
- Wind climate: determining long-term wind conditions and uncertainties in the Dutch part of the EEZ, especially within the NSW location.
- Wind turbine P-V curve: determining the impact of the wind conditions at sea with respect to the P-V curve of wind turbines established on land.
- Wake development: determining the impact of the wind conditions at sea on the wake impact (most notably on the energy yield) of offshore wind turbines.
