Vietnam Facility

The Vietnam Facility becomes an insourcing or tender programme: no round for submitting applications in 2011 !

The Vietnam Facility is part of the Vietnam Relay Facility, along with the programme G2G (government-to-government cooperation) and the programme for public-private partnerships. In September 2010, a mid-term review was conducted of the entire programme. Following this review it was decided to change the Vietnam Facility from a subsidy programme to an insourcing or tender programme. This means that projects are developed through insourcing (execution by a governmental organisation or a government-related organisation) or by tender (publication of a Terms of Reference (TOR) and interested parties can register). This new approach seeks further guidance for the type of projects to be developed, consistent with the general (more stringent) aims of the programme:

  1. contribute to economic development of Vietnam and
  2. opportunities for Dutch companies to increase/seek money for a spin-off after the project.
This means that no opening of the Vietnam Facility will be held in 2011. If it is decided to develop a project through a tender, it will be announced via this website.
