Verification Protocol Double Counting Better Biofuels - UK
Summary
The verification protocol is developed for inspection bodies. They are using the requirements written down in the protocol to issue a verification statement regarding the double counting of biofuels. Verification is normally completed in two phases (phase 1 and phase 2), in which research (interviews, observation, review of documents and records) takes place at the manufacturing site(s) (and at the client’s suppliers).
In phase 1 the preparation and planning phase is covered. Phase 2 is the actual sampling, collection of evidence and final reporting of results. If all requirements are met at the end of phase 2, the inspection body issues a verification statement.
