Orio: New country list

ORIO will use a new country list starting with the first Call for Proposals in 2012. Djibouti and Sri Lanka have been added and Serbia and Montenegro have been removed from the ORIO country list. Specific information about Djibouti and Sri Lanka will soon be posted on this website. Furthermore, only projects in South Sudan are eligible for ORIO. Project applications from the Three Areas of Sudan (South Kordofan, Blue Nile and Abyei) will not be accepted.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is currently working on new policy rules for ORIO. Following that, the application process and application form will be changed. These changes will apply starting from the next ORIO Call for Proposals. The aim is to open the first Call for Proposals of 2012 at the beginning of 2012. Once the exact dates are known they will be published on the website.

Please note that the current ORIO policy rules and application form are therefore invalid in the next Call for Proposals.
