Did the pile driving during the construction of the Offshore Wind Farm Egmond aan Zee, the Netherlands, impact local seabirds

Erecting the 36 monopiles of wind farm Egmond aan Zee was done by pile driving, from a large ship using a hydro-hammer. This technique generates considerable underwater noise levels that might be detrimental for local wildlife. In this study, possible effects on sensitive seabirds are considered.
