Japan: Denso develops vehicle-to-home power supply system for electric vehicles

Denso has developed a vehicle-to-home (V2H) power supply system for electric vehicles (EV). The V2H system does not require a dedicated and expensive charging device.

Advantages

The system can quickly charge an EV with direct current from the home energy management system (HEMS) storage battery. After a mere 15 minutes of quick charge the EV can drive up to twenty kilometers. Moreover, the system can supply the generated electricity in the EV back to the household.
